python-docutils
text processing system for reStructuredText (implemented in Python 2)
reStructuredText is an easy-to-read, what-you-see-is-what-you-get plaintext markup syntax and parser system. It is useful for in-line program documentation (such as Python docstrings), for quickly creating simple web pages, and for standalone documents. The purpose of the Docutils project is to create a set of tools for processing reStructuredText documentation into useful formats, such as HTML, LaTeX, ODT or Unix manpages. This package includes Python 2 modules and command line utilities.
python2-docutils
The Docutils project specifies a plaintext markup language,
reStructuredText, which is easy to read and quick to write. The project includes a python library to parse rST files and transform them into other useful formats such as HTML, XML, and TeX as well as commandline tools that give the enduser access to this functionality. Currently, the library supports parsing rST that is in standalone files and PEPs (Python Enhancement Proposals). Work is underway to parse rST from Python inline documentation modules and packages.
python3-docutils
The Docutils project specifies a plaintext markup language,
reStructuredText, which is easy to read and quick to write. The project includes a python library to parse rST files and transform them into other useful formats such as HTML, XML, and TeX as well as commandline tools that give the enduser access to this functionality. Currently, the library supports parsing rST that is in standalone files and PEPs (Python Enhancement Proposals). Work is underway to parse rST from Python inline documentation modules and packages. This package contains the module, ported to run under python3.
